2nd in London League Club of the Year Competition

I am glad to report that at the London League Awards Evening (last night) BromBeck came 2nd in Club of the Year section

The London League Committee use a points system based on the season's League results and when these were calculated we only just lost out to Spencer.

This the first time that BromBeck has made it into the top 3 and it inicates what a strong year that the combination of M2, M3, M4 MV & Ravens had.

Great effort & lets make it to number 1 for 2010 / 11 season

Further Congratulations to the Mens 4's

Congratulations to the Mens 4's who having already won London League Division 4 a fortnight ago followed it up on Sunday (25th April) by winning the Division 4 Cup as well. They beat Wimbledon (who finished 2nd in Division 4) 6 - 4 having been trailing 2 - 3 at half time

======================================================================
Below is a brief Match Report from Dan Blackman (Mens 4's Captain)

The hopes of doing the double and beating the Wombles for the 3rd time of the season were under pressure from the start with Wimbledon constantly pressing forward and heading into the break 3-2 up.

Brombeck knew that we'd have to put the legwork into the second half and with spirits high, the team did just that. From the offset an inspired We pushed forward throwing everything to clamber back into the tie. The breakthrough finally came and the old "One goal brings Two" was soon proved correct.

At the final whistle with the score of BromBeck 6 - Wimbledon 4 we had achieved the League & Cup double was achieved. The scorers were Tommy "Mini Me" Laurie x 2 & Duncan "Twisted Firestarter" Cole x 4.

A fantastic achievement for all involved over the season and a massive thank you to everyone who has helped out through filling in, umpiring or buying the beers! Long let the success continue.
