Mike joined Beckenham Cricket Club in 1952. He played cricket for the junior sides, captaining the Colts. When he came down from University, he captained the Sunday First Xl before taking over the League side in 1974. His commitment to the cause for the four years he was captain ensured that Beckenham became one of the leading clubs in the Kent League.

On his return from working in America, he devoted his efforts to the Hockey Section and became an energetic chairman. His achievements included promoting the London League, merging the section with Atalanta Ladies Hockey Club and creating a Veteran’s section. He organised a tour to Keil in Germany for a number of years.

Latterly, living in Sandwich, Mike was Honorary Secretary of the Band of Brothers CC.

Club News

The Club would like to wish John Warren and his wife Sharron many congratulations on the arrival of their new baby boy. Weighing 8lb 11oz (I guess taking after his Dad) he was delivered at 00:23 this morning. Both Mother and Baby are doing well.

The Club would also like to congratulate Robbie Wakeman and Hannah Perry on their engagement.
