NICK SABIN

Most of you are aware now of the very sad news that one of our Vets players Nick Sabin died recently.

He was a member of firstly Bromley and then Bromley & Beckenham for over 40 years. Nick was a former Vets Captain at Bromley and had played regularly for the vets and Ravens since the merger. Nick will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Nick's funerel will be held at All Saints Church on Friday 12th Oct at12.00 noon. The church is situated on Putney Common just off the Lower Richmond Road.

The service will be followed by the cremation at 13.30 at Mortlake Crematorium which is at Kew Meadow Path, Townmead Road, Richmond TW9 4EN. This is a turning off the A205 South Circular Road near Chiswick Bridge.

Afer the cremation Lindsay, (Nick's wife), will host a celebration of Nick's life at Wimbledon Hockey Club (Church Road, Wimbledon, SW19 5AG - opposite the All England Tennis facility).

Paul King has kindly arranged for some flowers from "All your friends at Bromley & Beckenham Hockey Club". Anyone not wishing to contribute to this can arrange for their own flowers by contacting Karen at Ashton Mathias Funearal Directors. (0208 788 1790).

New Kit

Should you not be able to find your old kit or have had a slight increse in size this summer. Senior mens / ladies kit will be sold at the club on sat morning the 22nd Sept between 9.30am and 10.30 am. Please note that sales will be in cash only.

Club Training moving venue & time.

From Monday 24th Sept onwards Club Training will
be held at Langley Park School Astro at 19:30 - 21:00.

For anyone who does not know Langley Park Astro is
in Hawksbrook Lane off South Eden Park Road.
