Ladies Vets are Kent Championship Runners Up.

After struggling to field a team, the Ladies Vets excelled themselves
coming runners up in the Kent Championships.

We drew 0-0 with Canterbury, BBHC and T Wells.
We beat Gravesend 2-1, Burnt Ash 2-1, and Holcombe 2-0
and only lost to Sevenoaks - the run away winners (as usual)

The majority of the team came from the ladies 4s with a couple from
the 1s and a couple from the 5s. Well done everyone on a thoroughly
enjoyable afternoon.

Best of Luck to Langley Park.

Best of Luck to Langley Park Boys U16 in the National Schools

The Final is against Trent College and is a 14:00 push back at
St Georges College, Weybridge.

The school side contains a number of our Juniors and also has
Sam Naismith (Mens 1st XI Coach) as their coach.

The Langley Park U18's also did very well in their reaching the last
eight in their National Competition Age Group before unfortuantly
losing 3-1 to Kingston Grammar (finalists) in the Quarter Finals.

Congratulations to all involved at the School.

More Junior success

Congratulations.

Congratulations to the Boys Under 18s who have reached the
Quarter Finals of the U18 National Cup. They won their game
yesterday away to East Grinstead on Penaly Strokes 4-2 after
Full Time finished 2 - 2

From Chris Rule:

We started the better and went one up after 16 mins from our
1st short corner. Whilst we had the better of first half neither
side really settled and took control, and we failed to make the
most of the chances we had had created from our greater possession.

The second half continued in same vein, but EG scored with 10
minutes to go and then again on 63 mins and to top that we then
went down to 10 men when a yellow cards was given for some dissent.
We held out during this period and then made a number of attacks in
last couple of mins when we were back to full strength.

EG were desperate to hold us out but in the last minute we were
awarded a short corner after their defence failed to retreat the
required 5 yards from a series of free hits.

The short corner didn't go as planned but Mike Lawrence managed to
beat two players & wrong footed the GK to put the ball in the corner.

Down to Penalty Strokes in the the torrential rain and we went first.
Mike Lawrence, Anton Baskerville, Joe Beavan & Adam Jordan all
scored with Luke Bassett saving their third and they put their fourth
wide to give us the win.

I must congratulate all the squad who never gave up following EG's
second half goals.

The Quarter Final draw is awaited but the game will be played
on 22nd April.

Mention should also go to the Boys Under 15s who unfortuantly
lost 3-1 away at Reading yesterday but it was still a wonderful
effort to reach the last 16 in the Under 15 National Cup.

U15 and U18 Cups...

We'd all like to wish both our U15 and U18 boys the best of luck in their matches against Reading and East Grinstead in the last 16 of the National Cup this coming Sunday.

Unfortunately both matches are away, but we're hoping they can both get the job done, and get us into the quarter finals...

good luck to all !
