Women's Hockey 2006/2007

As our first season as a merged club, we experienced a number of problems and in the lead up to next season your support and committment will be key to rectifying these problems.
We were required by the leagues to field 7 teams last season and this overstretched us as a section and meant that a number of players were playing at a level beyond their capabilities and a number of players (especially aged 14-18) were not reaching their full potential. The development of junior players and the successful intergration of these players into senior teams is a key focus for me and so i believe that it is vital that we do not over commit in terms of the number of teams we field.
We are currently in the process of interviewing potential coaches and setting up the structure for training/trials/selection. The views of all players (Junior/Senior/1st team/5th team) are extremely important and it is vital that people speak up now and have an input into the decision making process rather than being uphappy later in the season. Please send your views to either your captain or myself womens.captain@brombeckhc.co.uk. These views will not be repeated and will help us set the structure for next season.
I want to thank all of last years Captains and Officers, everyone put in a lot of hard work and committed a lot of time to ensuring the success of the season. We are looking for new people to help continue this success and any player that would be willing to captain or vice captain a team would be greatly received!! again pls contact me!!! Please could all current captains and vice captains advise me of their intentions for next season.
