Club Training

Please note that we will no longer be offering club training on Tuesdays at Worsley Bridge Road. Since Christmas the session has been poorly attended mainly due to the weather and the increased workload of our Junior players in the run up to exams.

Wednesday night training will be available to all players.

Site Update

A couple of people have recently asked about the directions to other grounds that used to be on the site, well they kind of got lost during the merger, but they are now back. They were maintained by a stalwart of the weasels, Chris Kenyon, but they are probably a little out of date, so make sure you confirm the directions before heading off for far flung grounds. You can find the directions from the 'pitch information' item on the menu.

I've also added some more lookalikes, I'm especially proud of the Penfold/Bluett lookalike, they're all now on the lookalikes page...

Finally, don't forget it's the EH roadshow, 7.30 at the club tonight.

Olympic Lookalike...

My wife suggested this, in response to Shaun White, nicknamed the flying tomato winning the mens half pipe in Turin, she commented that Robbie Wakeman is BromBeck's flying tomato !

I've also found a lookalike for Simon Letchford the men's first team coach, have a look on the lookalikes page.

HELP - your chairman needs you

OK personal post here, I'm looking for a new job, I was talking to someone at the weekend, who said most of his jobs came through friends at his rugby club, and thought that sounds like a good idea ...

It's time for me to leave my current job. I'm currently working for an insurance broker, as an infrastructure/project manager. This basically means that I look after server management and planning, and plan and implement IT projects for the business.

What am I looking for, well ideally a move to be an IT manager for a small/medium sized company that need strategic and some hands on IT support, and I'm quite keen to jump out of insurance.

If you've got any thoughts please drop me an email at chair@brombeckhc.co.uk

thanks

Gareth

Men's 2's are League Champions

I'm glad to report that the men's 2's are 10 points clear with only 3 games left, meaning that they are champions are promoted to the London League Premier Division, my congratulations to Ian Saunders and his team, a fine effort in our first season.

Elsewhere in the club the men's 1's win combined with Ashford's draw means a restoration of their 4 point advantage. With Ashford having 2 games in hand, it will still be very tight, especially with the '6 pointer' this weekend away at Ashford.

The ladies 1's remain top of their league, as do the Men's threes and fours, not bad for our first season...
