Junior update

Our Boys and Girls took part in the 2nd and 3rd Rounds of the U18 and U15 National Cup competition on Sunday with mixed results.

Our U18 girls were unfortunately hit with injuries and had to withdraw from their 3rd round match.

Our U15 girls took on Eastbourne also in the 3rd round and the tense match ended in a 1-1 draw. Penalty strokes. Only one of the 10 strokes missed the target, hitting the post, and unfortunately it was one of ours, so we went out 5-4.

Our U15 boys taking part in the 2nd round were away to Teddington and despite going a goal down won the game 4-2. That’s the 2nd National League club above us at 1st team level they have despatched.

Our U18 Boys took on Chelmsford at home again in the second round and went into a comfortable 2-0 lead but could not build upon this despite their supremacy.

Chelmsford fought back to level the score and then went 3-2 up, but a late fight back with 3 goals in the last 5 minutes restored a just result. Another National League club above us dispatched.

The boys are now eagerly awaiting the draw for the 3rd round, the matches will take place on 28th January.
