UPDATE : normally you would find a retraction printed some where in the corner of page 309, in print so small you need a microscope to read - but, I’m happy to admit when I have made an error. This week the M1’s don’t in fact have a game – they have a week break. It’s not really my fault, well ok, it is!
Not much from me this week I’m afraid as I missed the whole weekend. This week the M1’s are away to St Albans, a game in which a win would be a great boost, following the last couples of weeks results. The M2’s are travelling away to also promoted Southgate, and hope to pick up their first win of the league season. Following the 6-1 destruction of Chelmsford the L1’s head over to Cambridge in the hope that they carry on where they left off last week. While the L2’s on the other hand could do with picking up some points at home to St Albans. 12.30 at Langley Park – support most welcome.
Also a quick reminder that the Saturday week (ie, not this Saturday but the next one!) is the Clubs fireworks night. This event has taken a long time to organise and was well attended last year. It is also a very good fundraiser for the section – so please come along – and bring your friends too (and possibly some wellys!)
It also happens to coincide with my birthday – so no doubt there will be a crew heading down to Pat’s after the fireworks.
PS Happy Birthday Nev !
