Matt Isaacs guided Bromley to an 89-run victory over Cornish side St Just in the semi-finals of the Cockspur Cup, the national club knockout competition.
Despite a pugnacious 55 by Nadeem Shahid, the former Surrey batsman, Bromley might have recorded a below-par total from their 45 overs until Isaacs plundered 58 from 31 balls to lift them to 253 for four. He was supported by Nicky Bluett (52) and James Watson (59 not out).
In reply, David Roberts, late of Northamptonshire, made 82 for St Just, but they were bowled out for 164 in 37.2 overs. Isaacs took two wickets and a catch.
