" Would you please pass on my sincere congratulations to the Committee and players for a quite fantastic and amazing season, right through the Club. Although, inevitably, the 1st X1 will take the headlines, the achievements of all the other teams, especially the Women’s 1st X1, and the Men’s 2nd, 3rd and 4th X1s, are quite extraordinary, and more than vindicate the decision to merge the two famous old Clubs.

Your contribution to all of this has been a major factor, and therefore I join you with the players, coaches and officers in being entitled to the maximum accolades possible!
