Champions !!

Ever polite our women's first team - not wanting to usurp the men last week, they won their final game of the season yesterday, against Southend Ladies 3-2 at Langley to win the East Div. 1 South and gain promotion as thoroughly deserved champions.

I know I said it last week, but it really is a fantastic effort from the whole club that in our first season both our first teams gain promotion as champions. Our men are now in the national league, and women are now only 1 league away from national league status as well.

This has been a huge effort on behalf of both squads to attain what they so richly deserved, and I would like to thank both my club captains; Nevil Wharton and Emma Shepherd who have not only done a fantasic job captaining their sections, but have both played in our first teams and helped gain promotion as champions- my congratulations one and all.
