Tragic news
I'm very sad to have to pass on the news that Ben Simpson passed away during the 3rd team match on Saturday.
Ben was 26, a very popular member of both clubs prior to us merging, and with his brother Joe, were very influential members of the the junior section. His enthusiasm, humour and happy go lucky attitude will be much missed.
The thoughts of the whole club are with his family and friends at this time.

I can't believe it. Both Suzy and myself are shocked by his death. It only seems like yesterday that he stayed with us in Sydney.
From all of us here in Sydney who met him and espically from Suzy and myself please pass on our condolences.

We used to work with Ben at Churchill Insurance and are shocked and saddened by this terrible news. Ben was a pleasure to work with and although we only knew him for a short while, we never forgot him for his great personality. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
From all his old friends at Churchill.
I am very shocked. In reading about the tragic death of Ben.
I fondly remember our trips to Holland in the summer, the great laughs we all had.
